UNITIC is a Nigerian event ticketing platform that helps organizers create events, sell digital tickets with guest checkout, deliver tickets to attendees by email, and verify tickets at the gate with unique scan-once QR codes — then withdraw ticket money to a Nigerian bank account. Built for student unions, universities, clubs, and other Nigerian event organizers, UNITIC is not UniTix (unitix.ng).
The campus event reality
Campus events are usually planned by a small team with a big WhatsApp group. Money arrives as transfer alerts and screenshots, tickets are “whoever shows a screenshot”, and the gate is a friend with a list. It works until two people show the same screenshot.

Scanner links let multiple people check guests in at the same time from their phones. The first scan of a QR admits the guest; a second scan of the same code is flagged, so forwarded screenshots stop working at the door.

Common questions
Can multiple people scan tickets at the gate?
Yes. The organizer can create scanner links so several team members check guests in from their own phones, and every scan updates the same event.
What happens if someone shares a screenshot of their ticket?
Each QR is unique and can only be scanned once. If a shared screenshot is scanned after the real ticket, it is rejected as already used.
How much does it cost the organizer?
5% platform fee + ~2% gateway (capped at ₦2,000), deducted from your pool. Buyers pay exactly the ticket price you set.
